Return and refund policy


This policy applies to all purchases made through Best Daybed, operated by Blackcurrent Goods LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms below.


Order Cancellations (Before Shipment)

Orders may be canceled free of charge before they have shipped, except for custom or made-to-order items.

Once an order has entered processing, production, or freight scheduling, cancellation may not be possible or may be subject to applicable fees.

Requests are processed during business hours in the order received.


Custom & Made-to-Order Products

Custom and made-to-order products:

  • Cannot be canceled once placed

  • Cannot be returned

  • Cannot be refunded

These items are produced specifically for your order.

All sales are final for custom and made-to-order products.

If you are unsure whether an item is custom, please contact us before ordering.


Returns & Exchanges

We accept return requests within 30 days of delivery for eligible items.

To qualify for a return:

  • Item must be unused

  • Item must be unassembled

  • Item must be unmodified

  • Item must be in original condition

  • Item must be returned in original packaging

  • All hardware, parts, and accessories must be included

  • Original cartons must not be written on or altered

We do not accept returns for:

  • Used items

  • Assembled items

  • Painted, finished, or modified products

  • Cushion orders

  • Custom or made-to-order products

All returns require prior written approval. Unauthorized returns will be refused.

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. Eligible items may be returned according to our return policy and reordered separately

 

Returns & Restocking Fees

Approved returns are subject to a restocking fee based on the manufacturer:

  • Anderson Teak: 15% restocking fee

  • Zentique: 25% restocking fee

  • Zuo Modern: 30% restocking fee

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.


Freight Cost & Refund Calculation

Because our products ship via freight and incur substantial transportation charges, refunds for approved returns will be calculated as follows:

Purchase Price
− Actual Outbound Freight Cost
− Return Freight Cost
− Applicable Restocking Fee 
− Any Carrier, Storage, Redelivery, or Handling Fees

Outbound freight costs are non-refundable, even if shipping was advertised as “free.” Free shipping reflects bundled freight pricing included in the product price and does not waive freight cost recovery in the event of a return.

All freight deductions are based on the actual amounts charged by the carrier or manufacturer.


Refused or Undeliverable Shipments

If a shipment is refused, returned, or deemed undeliverable due to:

  • Customer unavailability

  • Incorrect contact information

  • Failure to schedule delivery

  • Refusal at time of delivery

It will be treated as a voluntary return.

Refunds for refused or undeliverable shipments will be calculated using the Freight Cost & Refund Calculation formula above and will include a minimum 30% restocking fee.

If a shipment is abandoned, disposed of, or auctioned by the carrier due to customer non-responsiveness, no refund will be issued.


Freight Delivery Responsibilities

Freight shipments require a delivery appointment.

You must:

  • Provide a valid and reachable phone number

  • Respond to carrier contact attempts

  • Be available during the scheduled delivery window

All freight deliveries are curbside only.

Customers are responsible for moving items onto their property or indoors.


Shipping Time Estimates

Shipping times displayed on product pages are estimates only.

Delays caused by manufacturing timelines, freight carriers, supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, weather, or other factors outside our control do not qualify for cancellation, refund, or chargeback.


Damaged Items (Freight Claims)

All shipments must be inspected immediately upon delivery.

If visible damage is present:

  • It must be noted on the delivery paperwork before signing

  • The driver must acknowledge the damage notation

  • Photos must be taken immediately

Failure to document visible damage at delivery may result in claim denial.

Damage documentation (photos and signed delivery receipt) must be submitted within 24 hours to:

Defects & Missing Parts

Claims for manufacturing defects or missing parts must be reported within 7 days of delivery.

Claims submitted after 7 days may not be eligible for service, replacement, or compensation.

Photos are required for all defect claims.


Inspection & Refund Processing

Approved returns will be inspected upon arrival.

Refunds or credits will only be issued after inspection confirms the item meets return eligibility requirements.

Processing time may take up to 2 weeks after the returned item is received.

If a return does not meet the required conditions, it may be refused or subject to additional deductions.


Warranty

Manufacturer warranties vary by product and apply only to defects arising from normal residential use.

Damage that occurred during shipping and was not properly documented at delivery is not considered a warranty issue.

BOGO & Promotional Offers

For Buy-One-Get-One promotions:

Both items must be returned to receive a full refund.

If only one item is returned, the refund will be adjusted to reflect the standalone value of the retained item.

Customers are responsible for return shipping and applicable restocking fees.


Shipping Coverage

We ship within the Continental United States (48 states) only.

We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or international locations.


Chargebacks

We are committed to resolving concerns fairly and promptly.

Filing a chargeback without first contacting us, or for reasons covered in this policy (including shipping delays, refused deliveries, estimated transit times, or freight procedures), may be considered misuse of the dispute process.

Customers agree to contact us at contact@bestdaybed.com to allow us an opportunity to resolve any issue prior to initiating a payment dispute.
